Combined Paediatric First Aid and First Aid at Work

Who is it for? 

The Combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid Course is ideal for those who work in settings that require both first aiders and paediatric first aiders, such as schools, childcare settings, sports clubs or other. This specially designed course minimises the number of training days required to achieve both qualifications

 

Pre-Requisites 

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

Course Contents

Candidates will cover a range of topics needed to provide effective first aid for adults, children and infants including CPR and defibrillation, choking, stroke, head injuries, asthma and much more; 

Topics Include: Roles and responsibilities of both first aiders and paediatric first aiders; CPR and defibrillation; Managing an unresponsive casualty; Choking; Burns and scalds; Wounds, bleeding and shock; Broken bones and dislocations; Meningitis; Asthma; Seizures and Epilepsy Febrile convulsions; Anaphylaxis and Allergic reaction; Minor injuries.

 

Assessment

Courses will be internally assessed by the tutor.

 

Qualification

First Aid at Work (FAW)  and Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate, valid for 3 years.

Per group at your venue for up to 12 people from £1300.
